| High resolution separation with simple
operation. One entire surface of gel sandwich is in contact with buffer
for rapid heat dissipation and uniform gel temperature. It affords
relatively fast, high resolution separation, while minimizing the
possibility of smiling effect, distortion or diffusion of bands, without
the requirement for cooling. A gel is held simply with unique pressure
platen, without the use of screws or clamps, while eliminating the
possibility of slippage or leakage. This chamber is transparent, has no
obstructions to visibility, and provides ease of access to sample wells
and observation of separation. |

| Temperature-controlled PAGE of proteins
or nucleic acids. Consists of slab gel cast, chamber and TempCon (heat
exchanger). One or two gels are run. Both two surfaces of each gel
sandwich are in contact with buffer for the most effective temperature
control of gels. The chamber has buffer inlet and outlet ports to
connect with TempCon. TempCon has a circulation pump to recirculate
buffer. TempCon also are connected with a thermostatic circulator. Heat

temperature than plastic cassettes. Uniform, single concentration gels
and linear gradient gels are offered. They have a life of about 6 months
when stored at about 2 to 8C. |
