Based on our research and the initial results of studies by independent
third parties, LIFOR® significantly lengthens the viability of harvested
organs. Our solution not only lengthens the preservation time, but also
continuously nourishes the organ cells through its proprietary oxygen
and nutrient carrying properties. For example, using currently available
solutions, solid organs such as kidneys and livers can be preserved
without damage for twelve hours, whereas LIFOR® allows 36 hours, or a
three-fold increase. LIFOR® will support the harvesting, transportation
and reimplantation of kidneys, livers and hearts, as well as connective
and other essential therapeutic tissues.
