PCR Enzymes & Nucleotides
 |
Hot Start TAP
contains a heat inactivated inhibitor and is completely inactive at room
temperature, thus eliminating non-specific reaction products such as
mis-primed products and primer-dimers. Heating the enzyme to 95 degrees
C for 7-10 minutes destroys the inhibitor and allows the enzyme to be
activated. Reaction products contain 3' adenosine residues and are ready
to use in TA cloning experiments |
 |
Master Mixes
Eliminate non-specific
products by using this 2X heat activated reaction mixture. Add template,
primers and water and activate for 7-10 minutes at 95°C. TAP MasterMix
has a final magnesium concentration of 1.5mM and is supplied in 2 sizes,
100 reactions and 500 reactions |

ProofPro DNA Polymerase
ProofPro is a blend of enzymes specifically designed for high fidelity
along with high processivity. It is recommended for amplifications that
are >15Kb for genomic templates, and also for templates that are
‘difficult’ and contain 2° structure. ProofPro is able to span long
regions and demonstrate high proccessivity by reducing premature strand
termination and template degradation. ProofPro leaves an ‘A’ overhang
which allows for direct cloning into TA vectors, even from difficult
templates |

TAQ DNA Polymerase
Taq DNA Polymerase is a robust, thermal stable DNA polymerase purified
from Thermus aquaticus. Taq has a high 5’ to 3’ activity and no 3’ to 5’
exonuclease activity. The enzyme is supplied with 10X ammonium sulfate
reaction buffer, which provides minimal background and a separate
solution of magnesium for optimization. Reaction products contain 3’
adenosine residues and are ready to use in TA cloning experiments. Taq
can be combined with CLP’s Booster™ to offer amplification on templates
with difficult melting profiles |
 |
TrueFidelity DNA
Polymerase
Isolated from Pyrococcus, TrueFidelity was designed with specificity in
mind. Its inherent 3’ to 5’ proofreading activity results in a 47 fold
increased fidelity over Taq. TrueFidelity processes up to 5Kb in length
and produces blunt ended fragments. The TrueFidelity buffer contains
magnesium for convenience; a separate tube is provided for further
optimization. TrueFidelity can be combined with CLP’s Booster™ to offer
amplification on templates with difficult melting profiles |
