ZytoVision offers an
expanding range of ZytoDot products
for the detection of aneuploidies and gene
amplifications, e.g. of HER2, by Chromogenic
in situ Hybridization (CISH) using
light microscopy.
Overview
ZytoDot
probes can be used on various sample types
in all aspects of routine and research work
in genetics and oncology/pathology. The ZytoDot
system uses tagged DNA probes which are
indirectly detected using an
enzyme-conjugated antibody targeting the
tags. The enzymatic reaction of the
chromogenic substrate DAB leads to the
formation of strong permanent brown signals
that can be visualized by light microscopy
at 40x. Thus, the ZytoDot System
allows the simultaneous observation of gene
amplification and tissue morphology.

The ZytoDot
product line comprises CEN probes specific
for highly repeated satellite sequences
located at the centromeric regions of human
chromosomes, as well as Digoxigenin-labelled
SPEC probes specific for single copy DNA
sequences.
Advanced specificity and less background of
the single copy SPEC probes is obtained by
the unique ZytoVision® Repeat
Subtraction Technique.
